These beautiful pieces are made in Rajasthan, India’s largest state which literally translates as “Land of Kings, by the Thathera community. The Thathera’s have mastered the craft of metal work through generations, working in brass, copper and “Kansa”, a copper-tin alloy.


Using traditional tools and techniques, the artisans create high-quality, stand-out copper utensils with durability that will last generations. A small wood-fired clay stove built partially into the earth provides the heat for the shaping process. Hand bellows distribute the hot air onto the metal as it is refined into shape with delicate hammering. Finally the pieces are polished for an eye-catching glowing look.
